4 Useful Google Chrome Tweaks

Google had launched it's own browser about last week ago, as I can see, this new browser is still lack of feature that can actually can help to save some time. So I use some tweaks to expand Google Chrome's full feature. So, here's the tricks

1.Change The Default Download Location

Chrome uses the Downloads folder in My Documents as it's default download directory, so if you want to change the download location simply click on the wrech-like icon at the top of the right of the Google Chrome browser and choose OPTIONS.

Then click on the Minor Tweaks tab and click on Browse to change the download directory. But I like to set it to 'Ask where to save each file before downloading' cause I like to download my files to various folders (my thumbdrive, my secret folders).

2.Make Google Chrome As Your Default Browser

Chrome try to not making itself as the default browser like IE or Firefox, but you still can do it manually. Go to the OPTIONS button (like what I do earlier) and click the Make Google Chrome my default browser button in the Default Browser section.

3. Add Home button to Chrome toolbar

I’m so used to the Home button now that I was went
crazy every time I wanted to go Home, but couldn’t find the button! Fortunately, there is an option to add the button back to the toolbar.

So, go to OPTIONS and on the Basics tab, check the box next to Show Home button on the toolbar.

4. Use some keyboard shortcuts for Google Chrome

Google Chrome is all about speed and simplicity and
it’s even better if you learn some of the keyboard shortcuts also. Here are my favorites.

Ctrl + T - Opens a new tab

Ctrl + J - Opens the Download page

Ctrl + B - Show/Hides the Bookmarks bar

Ctrl + Shift + T - Reopen the last tab closed

[ Note!: I did not add the fifth tutorial in Google Chrome Tweaks in this blog cause I did not find that the fifth is useful to me.]
