Acronis True Image Home 2009 is a backup utility that can backup your files (entire PC, data , application backup-(a backup to my software? Wow!) , settings (does this includes my windows setting?) and OS! (backup Windows or Ubuntu Linux?

Acronis can be a lifesaver. It's great for imaging your entire disk. For added protection, you might want to look into an online backup service to ensure that you have an offsite copy of your important files.
