Today, I was shocked when I received this e-mail from Pownce that tells me that Pownce is shutting down! This is what the e-mail says:-

We are sad to announce that Pownce is shutting down on December 15,
2008. As of today, Pownce will no longer be accepting new users or new
pro accounts.   

To help with your transition, we have built an export tool so you can
save your content. You can find the export tool at Settings > Export.
Please export your content by December 15, 2008, as the site will not
be accessible after this date.

 Is Pownce really shutting down? Actually, I've joined Pownce about 3 months ago.When I first look at  this site, I can see that Pownce is related to Twitter. By the way, Pownce had been acquired by the blogging company Six Apart, the makers of Movable Type, TypePad and Vox. So, I hope Six Apart do his job well on maintaining Pownce!
