The second release candidate (RC2) of the much-awaited Mozilla Firefox version 3 has been
launched. RC2, is a preview release mainly intended for testing and feedback.
“Firefox
3 release candidate 2 is now available for download. It includes new
features, as well as dramatic improvements to performance, memory usage
and speed” wrote lead developer of Firefox and Mozilla’s vice president of engineering, Mike Beltzner.
Some
of the most anticipated features in Firefox 3 are improvements in
memory management, caching and JavaScript engine. Other features like
verification of secure sites, secure database for personal information
etc. are also included. Firefox 3 sports a faster Gecko 1.9 rendering
engine, which promises to be faster. This basically means that page
loading times will be faster.
